The following guide outlines how to create a test case based on the configuration and templates described in other sections of this website.

Create a new test case

Click "Add New Test Case"

Name the title of the Test Case "Report Name - dd MMM yyyy" and add the Feature as a parent work item.

Take note of the "Power BI Dashboard Testing", it is a Shared Steps Work Item that is the template of tests that need to be run by those who will perform the tests.

Click "Save"

Ascertain Testers

Ask a couple of other members of your team to test the dashboard, when you have enough people, add their names to the Description Field

Notify Test Leads

Notify one of the Test Leads (found on the Summary Page) to set up the testing process by inviting the people that will be performing the tests.

The Test Points that are ready should appear in the Test Plans module.
