Creating a Test Plan

To create a new Test Plan for your team, click "New Test Plan"

Enter a plan name and click "Create"

Creating a Test Suite for each report / dashboard

To create a new Test Suite for a new report, select the three dots to dropdown a menu, select "New Suite" and select "Query Based Suite"

Set the Type of query as "Work items and direct links"

In the next section, set the filers for linked work items, with the ID being the Feature ID, and set the filter options to only return items that have matching links

Click "Create suite" to save the suite and the query

Assigning Testers

Beside the report name (test suite), select the three dots and select "Assign testers to run all tests"

Input all the names of the testers you wish to include, click the "Send email" checkbox, and click "Ok"

Test Finalisation

If all the tests are complete and the outcome, as seen on the "Test Results" page show that it has all passed, then the Test Leads can move the state of the Test Case Work Item to "Closed"

To open the Test Case from the Test Plan page, click the three dots and select "Edit Test Case"

To view the test results, click "Test Results"

If they show the results that they are all passed, the Test Lead can transition the state of the Test Case to "Closed"

Please note: Only members of the "Test Leads" Group are permitted to close Test Cases
