To access the Organisation Settings, click the “Azure DevOps” logo

Select the relevant organisation

Click “Organisation settings” or "Collection settings"

Click on “Process” under the Boards group

Click on the relevant default process

The Boards will primarily use the User Story work item type, click “User Story”

Click “States”

From this screen, you can create, hide or remove states

Create a new state

To create a new state, click “New state”, name the state, specify a category, a colour and then click “Create”

Editing an existing state

To edit or move, hover over the item to display the three dots, click on the dots and then select the required action
